4. Answer the following questions:   

a) Explain the two different types of data present in Excel.
The two different types of data present in Excel are
i)    Constants: the values which are directly entered in the cell are called contants
ii)   Formula: it is a sequence of cell reference, mathematical  functions or operators of existing
     value to give new value

b) Define the following:
i) Cell reference                                               ii) Cell range
i) Cell reference is the unique address of a cell in a worksheet.

ii) Cell range is a group of related cells in a worksheet.

c) What are operators? Name the different types of operators with examples.
Operators are used to specify the type of calculation to be performed.
The different types of operators are Arithmetic operators (+, -, *, /, %, ^), Comparison operators (=, >, <, >=, <=, <>)

d) What are functions? Name the different types of functions.
A function is a built-in formula that can be used to perform a calculation on the data in the worksheet.
The different types of functions are Date & Time, Engineering, Financial, Lookup & Reference, Mathematical & Trigonometric, Statistical, Text and Database.

e) How will you perform common calculations in a worksheet?
The common calculations in a worksheet can be performed using Autosum option under Editing group of Home tab.
